With two players like Jalen Green and Adoree’ Jackson, any team would seem unbeatable. That is exactly how Serra, currently 7th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings, looked in their Friday night game on September 20 against Dorsey High School.
After a huge 21-point first quarter, Serra controlled the rest of the game. By the final whistle, the Cavaliers led 48-18.
Senior quarterback Jalen Green guided the offense down the field time after time. Green finished with 10 completions on 16 attempts for 285 for an incredible four touchdown passes. On top of that, Green rushed the ball seven times for 53 yards and two more touchdowns.
Green’s favorite target for the night, senior receiver Adoree’ Jackson, caught four passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. Jackson’s touchdown was a routine short pass that he turned into a 65-yard score with his speed and agility. Also, Jackson ran the ball three times for 44 more yards.
Now at 4-0, Serra is at the top of their game. Their next game is on September 27 against Narbonne High School with a 7:00p kickoff.
